Save big on your power bills with the new federal battery rebate now available in Queensland. The Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program kicked off on 1 July 2025 and gives eligible households and small businesses up to 30% off the cost of a new home battery system. For a standard 10 kWh battery this can mean around $3,300 to $4,000 in instant savings. In some cases, when combined with other incentives, Queenslanders could see savings of up to $18,000.

At Barra Solar Power we’re ready to help you take full advantage of this rebate. We handle everything from checking your eligibility, designing a system that’s right for your needs, installing with accredited Clean Energy Council professionals, and managing the paperwork so you don’t have to worry about the fine print.

In Queensland, the rebate is available to homeowners, small businesses and community organisations installing a new battery between 5 and 100 kWh in size (with the rebate applying to the first 50 kWh usable capacity). The battery must be new, CEC-approved, Virtual Power Plant ready, and installed by an accredited professional.

The sooner you act, the better. Rebates will reduce each year until 2030 and demand is already high. Stock and funding may run out quickly, so installing now means locking in the biggest possible savings and starting to cut your power bills sooner.

Call Barra Solar Power today to find out exactly how much you can save and get your rebate application underway.
