Solar repairs and servicing in Townsville Start with the solar system check.
If your solar has stopped, is showing a fault or is not producing like it used to, a Barra electrician will find out why. Start with our solar system check.
The solar system check
A qualified electrician finds the fault.
Have one of our highly trained, qualified electricians pin down the issue and get your solar system back up and running.
We explain the findings and proposed repair before you decide what to do next.
- Licensed electricians
- Our own team does the work. We do not hand repairs to subcontractors.
- Find the fault first
- The check is about pinning down the issue, so you know where you stand before you decide on a repair.

When to call
Signs something is wrong.
- The inverter is showing a fault code or a red light.
- The system has stopped producing, or makes far less than it used to.
- The inverter or the app shows offline.
- The battery is not charging or discharging the way it used to.
- Your bill has jumped and nothing else has changed.
We look at the whole system: panels, wiring, isolators, the inverter, any battery and the switchboard.

Brands and other systems
Diagnosis and warranty help, assessed case by case.
Yes, we can look at systems other installers fitted. That means diagnosing faults, helping with manufacturer warranty claims where the brand allows it, and repair work we accept after assessment. It is not a promise to repair every brand or every system.
We regularly work with Sungrow, including warranty replacements. We also have service history with Solis and Fronius. For systems we install and support day to day, our ecosystem includes Sungrow, SolaX, Sigenergy, Tesla and LONGi panels. Tell us the make of your inverter and what it is doing, and we will say straight whether we can help.
If you are thinking about adding storage to a system that is working, see adding a battery to existing solar.
Before you call
A few things worth noting down.
- What the inverter screen or app shows, and any fault code.
- When the problem started, and whether a storm came through first.
- Any fault code visible in your monitoring app.
- The make of your inverter, if you know it.
If a cyclone or storm has damaged your system, keep clear of the panels and wiring and call us. Read more in our cyclone-ready guide.
Questions
Common questions answered.
Not covered here? Ask us and we will tell you straight.
Ask us a question01What is the solar system check?
A qualified electrician pins down the issue so your system can get back up and running. We explain the findings and proposed repair before you decide what to do next.
02What should I have ready when I get in touch?
Tell us what the system is doing and when it started. A photo of the inverter screen or any fault code helps, and so does the make of the inverter.
03Is it safe to check my solar system myself?
Look, but do not open anything. You can read the inverter screen or monitoring app from a safe, dry location. Do not open the inverter, remove panels or go on the roof. Leave electrical work to a licensed electrician.
04Do you repair solar after a storm?
Contact us about an inspection. Stay away from damaged panels, batteries and wiring. A licensed electrician must check damaged equipment before it is used again.
05Do you repair systems installed by someone else?
Yes, where we can. We diagnose faults and can assist with manufacturer warranty claims on a case-by-case basis. Not every brand or system is one we can take on. Tell us the inverter make and what is happening, and we will be straight with you.
